Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28th, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Supper mobile application and website
(the "Service"), operated by Maxwell Robbins ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, how it is used
and shared, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our
Terms and Conditions.
The short version: we collect only what the Service needs to plan
your family's meals. We do not sell your information, show ads, or use third-party analytics or
tracking.
1. Information You Provide
- Account information: your name and email address, and a password (stored
only as a secure one-way hash). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email
address, and an account identifier from that provider instead of a password.
- Profile pictures: an optional photo or emoji avatar for you or your family.
If you choose a photo, it is stored on our servers.
- Family information: your family's name and its members. Meal plans, recipes,
grocery lists, and preferences are shared with everyone in your family group.
- Meal preferences, including allergies and dietary restrictions: allergies,
preferred cuisines, serving sizes, complexity, and any notes, meal ideas, or ingredients you
enter. Allergy and dietary information can relate to health; you choose whether to provide it,
and it is used only to plan meals for your family.
- Your content: meal plans, recipes (including recipes you import from a web
address you provide), ratings, saved recipes, and grocery lists.
- Grocery store: the name and address of a store you choose.
2. Information Collected Automatically
- Location, only when you ask for it: if you use "find stores near me," your
device's approximate location is sent to our server to search for nearby stores. It is not saved
to your account; it may be held briefly in temporary server memory to speed up repeat searches.
You can deny location access and search by address instead.
- Subscription status: whether your family has an active Supper Pro
subscription, and a count of meal plans generated each month (used for free-plan limits).
- Technical logs: like most online services, our servers record basic request
information such as IP address, time, and the address requested, used for security and to fix
problems. These logs are kept for a limited time.
Meal-plan reminders are local notifications created on your device; we do not collect push
notification tokens.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide the Service: create your account and family, generate meal plans and recipes,
build grocery lists, and sync them across your family's devices.
- To respect your allergies and dietary restrictions when generating meals.
- To manage subscriptions and enforce free-plan limits.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To respond to you when you contact us.
4. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We
share information only with the service providers that operate parts of the Service, and only
what each one needs:
- Anthropic (AI meal generation): when you generate or change a meal plan or
import a recipe, your meal preferences, allergies, notes, and the relevant recipe or page text
are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to produce the result. Your name and email address are not
sent. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this data is not used to train their models.
- Pexels (food photos): the names of dishes are used to find matching photos.
No personal information is sent.
- OpenStreetMap services (Nominatim and Overpass): store searches, including
the location or address you search near, are sent from our server to find grocery stores.
- Apple, Google, and RevenueCat (subscriptions): purchases are handled by the
App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat manages subscription status and identifies your family by a
random identifier. We never receive your payment card details.
- Google and Apple (sign-in): if you choose to sign in with them.
- Hosting: our servers and database are hosted by Fly.io, and our website by
Cloudflare.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or
property of our users or others.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at
any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your
account. If you are the last member of your family, your family's meal plans, recipes, grocery
lists, and preferences are deleted too; otherwise they remain available to the other members.
Deleted information may persist in routine backups for a limited time before being overwritten.
You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing us.
6. Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as secure
hashes, and access to each family's data is restricted to that family's members. No method of
transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Children
The Service is intended for use by adults planning meals for their household and is not
directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children
under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will
delete it.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can view and update your information in the app, change your preferences, replace your
profile photo with an emoji, deny location access, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you
may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To
make a request, email us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page
and update the "Last updated" date above.
